The Purple Heart has been with me through one of the most transformative journeys of my life. It began as a simple acknowledgment during Domestic Violence Awareness Month—a symbol of survival and a way to share my story of overcoming familial violence. For 31 days, I live-streamed, breaking the silence and speaking my truth. It wasn’t easy, but it was a step toward reclaiming my voice and standing fully in my light.
Over time, the Purple Heart took on a deeper meaning. It became more than a symbol of survival—it became a representation of resilience, transformation, and the ability to thrive. Purple, the color of royalty, strength, and spiritual depth, reminds me of the journey from pain to peace, from hiding to healing. It’s a color that invites us to see our worth and stand in our power.
Now, when I share a Purple Heart, it’s my way of saying, ‘I see you.’ It’s a gesture of acknowledgment and connection, a reminder that even in moments of heaviness, you are not alone. It’s also a promise—to honor your journey and respond with authenticity, because your story matters.
